Product Description You'll look and feel like a boxing champion when you don these pro style training gloves. Great for punching bag training and sparring, these gloves from renowned boxing equipment maker, Everlast, feature dense, two-layer foam padding and a patented Thumb-Lok for superb hand and thumb protection. The natural shape of the glove conforms to your hand shape, promoting proper punching technique, while the wrap-around hook and loop strap ensures a snug and secure fit.p strongAbout Everlast/strongbr The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did.p Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world's heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950's and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family's remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000.p Everlast men's and women's apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. Everlast has a traditional past and a knockout future.p

8oz great for smaller hands March 5, 2010 G. Scroggin I purchased the 8oz model as a gift for a female; 5'3" with a small frame and small hands. When I say small hands, I mean she often buys kids sized gloves. I also purchased the 108" hand wraps. Both worked out to be a good fit for her. These are being used as bag gloves, not boxing/contact gloves. The fit and finish are similar to my own Fairtex and Windy bag gloves.
AWESOME - SUPER COOL! February 11, 2010 R. Gibbons (San Jose, CA) Glad I ordered the 14oz! I based my purchase on reviews and I agree. I too am a small 5'2" girl with small hands and thr 140z are perfect. I think smaller would fit but maybe a bit tight so I'm glad I paid the $5 extra for the bigger ones. The color is a very cool Pink and totally makes me wanna get working! I am still waiting for my punching bag to arrive but these seem very well padded. I hit a few things around the house (couldnt wait to try!) and I didnt feel an ounce of pain on my hands (I type all day so I was kinda worried about my wrists and hands) so far excellent! I recommend!
Definitely order the 14 ounce size February 3, 2010 Leanne (San Diego, CA) I originally ordered these boxing gloves in the 12-ounce size, thinking that they would be fine for me since I'm a smaller-boned person (I'm 5'4") and wear a size 0 or 2. However, the 12-ounce size gloves were much too small and tight, and made my fingers cramp up, so I returned them to the store where I bought them and ordered the 14-ounce ones here on Amazon.

br /I use these for recreational boxing on my Wavemaster punching bag, so can't speak to how well they hold up for real boxing classes, but for recreational workout videos, they work great. (I've been using boxing workout DVD's from Cathe Freidrich, Amy Bento, and Michael Olajide.)

br /The gloves have nice cushioning to them, although I also have been using the Everlast gel wraps underneath to provide additional padding for my knuckles.

br /I know it's silly, but I also just love the pink color! They are really cute in person. Overall, a great purchase!
Great gloves at a great price.............. December 27, 2009 T. Whitehead I purchased these as part of my Christmas gifts to go with my new Wavemaster and they are perfect. I got the size 14 based on reviews even though my hands are pretty small. I'm glad that I did because they fit perfect. My 10 y/o daughter also uses them and they fit her fine. So, I don't think the smaller sizes would be very comfortable for an adult. The pink is so HOT and I feel fierce using them. I would recommend these................
Great gloves - my wife loves them December 18, 2009 J. Bertuzzi What else can I say. They fit great and she thinks they are very comfortable.
